Furniture Renovation Project
This is a project working in partnership with Furniture Matters, a recycling charity based in Morecambe.
Furniture Matters is aiming to improve the quality of the furniture it sends out to its customers. What we need is a workshop to carry out the work!
Thumbprint is working with people with learning disabilities in creating a new workshop and in carrying out furniture renovation work. We have started with an empty room. Over this year we will be setting up the workshop and carrying out the work alongside other volunteers and staff at Furniture Matters.
By the end of the year we should have a fully functioning workshop turning out good quality furniture. Those involved will have gained a wide range of skills and hopefully had a lot of fun!
